Rails Logs: Notes on Fixing a Few Small Errors

# Runtime error

'Could not find a JavaScript runtime' but execjs AND therubyracer are in Gemfile

# solution.

Just add the following to your gemfile

gem 'execjs'
gem 'therubyracer', :platforms => :ruby

and that fixes it

# Got this warning

add gem 'sqlite3'

But sqlite3 was already in the gemfile, and it still threw an error

# solution.

Change the original

gem 'sqlite3'

to

gem 'sqlite3','~> 1.3.0'

I think Ruby's biggest problem is that gem dependency issues come up all the time, but the error hints are just terrible
